How best to pack your produce for shipping

It is essential that your customers receive food in as fresh a condition as possible. This is why it is so important that the produce be transported in a stable thermal condition.

Introducing a couple of ice sheets can be the difference between your customer receiving defrosted inedible food to them receiving frozen fresh food.

By using an ice pack your chilled and frozen products should stay below 5°C for as long as 48 hours.

The ice sheets we provide are pocketed for flexibility and reliability. The sheets are very hygienic and can be used in direct contact with food.

 

These absorbent sheets are made from a non-woven polyester fabric and silver laminate. Inside each 'cell' is an acrylate polymer powder which is capable of absorbing liquid up to 150 times its own weight. The sheets contain no water so are lightweight and can help reduce freight costs.

Just soak the sheets in fresh water for 10 minutes and then freeze.

These sheets are ready hydrated, so can be used immediately, just place directly in the freezer. No soaking is required which will save you time.
